Sati Kauldhar
My Story
This fundraiser is in memory of my beloved dad Joginder Singh Kauldhar who suffered from a heart related illness and passed away over 21 years ago. To raise this money I will be running the London Marathon on 27th April 2025.
42 years of age, leaving behind a wife and 6 young children between the ages of 11 and 20 was a tragedy. Now being the age of my dad when he died I cannot fathom the thought of leaving my 12 year old son behind without a parent.
My dad was a fun loving, easy going young at heart dad who was not only my dad but my best friend. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with a form of cardiomapothy and passed at such a young age.
If we had the facilities we have today, the medicines and treatments, I have always wondered if things could have been different. It is for this reason I support this charity. With the work the BHF carry out, we can work together to help make a massive difference to everyone. I want to make a difference and I want to be part of something big.
Unfortunately, too many people I know have their own story. We should take control on the narrative of your own story and help to support lives and make a positive impact in life for ourselves, our loved ones and everyone around us.
I have also chosen to fundraise through the London Marathon as it gives me ammunition to keep fit 💪 When we have children, all we want is for them to lead happy healthy lives and we should lead by example. Having their parents around to support them in their life is vital. I feel I owe it to my son to stay fit and be healthy so I won't ever miss crucial exam results, first day at university, graduation, wedding and any significant life event. I know my dad was always there in spirit for all these events, but I want to be there for my son with my presence.
"Live long and prosper"
This is my story. This is why I chose to support The BHF.
