I've been trying to get into London Marathon for over 15 years and finally have a place. I've always been inspired by the charity fundrasing and often the fancy dress which goes with it. So not only will I be running the marathon, but I will be attempting to achieve a Guinness World Record for the fastest marathon time dressed in a fully inflatable costume - specifically a giant chicken as you can see in the picture.

This charity helps so many vulnerable children and families across the UK. I hope by fundraising for this charity and doing something a little extra crazy, I can contribute to having lasting improvements to their lives.

Action for Children’s vision is for every child to have a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive. We support the most vulnerable children and families - with 372 services in local communities across the UK, in schools and online, in 2023/24 we helped 687,755 children, young people and families.

We provide opportunities for brighter futures through practical and emotional care and support. And we ensure children’s voices are heard; campaigning for lasting improvements to their lives.

For 155 years, we’ve been providing services on-the-ground in communities UK-wide. We’re a national charity delivering local impact.
