My Story

I am proud to be running the London Marathon 2025 in support of Chordoma UK, a charity dedicated to advancing research, raising awareness, and providing a supportive community for those affected by Chordoma—a rare and challenging form of bone cancer.

Chordoma UK was founded by close friends Gerry and Susan Fitz-Gibbon after Susan’s diagnosis in 2007, with the mission to fund groundbreaking research and build a network of support for patients and families.

Having previously run my first marathon with their son Will in 2023, I am inspired to now take on the London Marathon in order to contribute to this amazing cause.

Chordoma is an exceptionally rare cancer, affecting just 1 in 800,000 people. It often requires complex and expensive treatments, making access to care difficult for many. Chordoma UK plays a critical role in funding research to improve treatments and outcomes for patients, as well as fostering a community for those navigating this journey. As a self-funded charity, Chordoma UK relies on contributions to continue its essential work. Unlike some charities, every penny donated will be directed towards research and community support, so your donations really do make a meaningful impact.

With the coldest part of winter training hopefully behind me, I am preparing for the marathon this April and would deeply appreciate your support.
