My Story

Hello friends, family, and fellow horse lovers,

I'm thrilled to announce that I will be running the London Marathon in 2025, and I’m dedicating this challenge to raising funds for Redwings Horse Sanctuary, a charity close to my heart.

Why Redwings Horse Sanctuary?

Redwings Horse Sanctuary has been a cornerstone in the fight to protect horses, ponies, donkeys, and mules in the UK. They provide lifelong care to over 1,500 horses and rely entirely on public donations to carry out their incredible work. My partner works for Redwings and has always had a deep passion for horses, making this cause even more special to us. Seeing their dedication and the positive impact Redwings has on these majestic creatures inspires me every day.

My Running Journey

I've been a runner on and off since 2005, participating in numerous half marathons, 10k runs, and 5k Parkruns. In 2021, I took on the challenge of The Virtual London Marathon and successfully completed it, which fueled my desire to push further. Now, I’m ready to take on the iconic London Marathon in 2025, and I want to use this opportunity to support Redwings.

Every donation, big or small, will go directly towards helping Redwings continue their mission. Your support will help provide the necessary care, shelter, and love that these horses deserve. Here’s how your donation can make a difference:

• £10can provide a cosy straw bed for a rescued horse.
• £25can feed a horse for a week.
• £50can cover the cost of essential veterinary treatment
• £100 can help transport a horse to the sanctuary safely.
