My Story
On Sunday 27th April 2025 I will be running the London Marathon in support of The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust.
I am running the 26.2 Miles after an extremely difficult year where we have suffered 2 pregnancy losses.
In November 2023 me and Hannah received the heartbreaking news that no expectant parents want to ever hear; Hannah was diagnosed with an Ectopic Pregnancy.
Hannah underwent emergency life-saving surgery and was fortunately recovering within 24 hours of being delivered the shattering news.
It was a scary, devasting and confusing experience for us both. The information provided by the EPT was invaluable in the aftermath of the initial shock.
After a long difficult start to 2024, we were over the moon to find out that Hannah was pregnant again in the summer, but our joy was short as our second baby was taken from us in September 2024 at 16 weeks.
Both losses were very different and extremely difficult to process, but along with The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust there are a number of charities who offer amazing support such as Tommy's, Sands and The Miscarriage Association.
The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust is such an invaluable charity; they provided so much support and information on the condition without which, we would have been lost.
I am fundraising for this amazing charity so that they can continue to provide the incredible support to individuals and their families. As well as campaigning for changes in the law to support bereaved families.
Please sponsor me if you are able to do so, even the smallest amount can help.
If not, then please just help me to raise awareness of this condition and urge anyone experiencing concerning symptoms in pregnancy to immediately see their healthcare professional - it could just save a life!
THANK YOU

The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust strives to provide information, education and support to those affected by early pregnancy complications and to the health professionals who care for them. Ectopic pregnancy is a common, life-threatening condition that is the leading cause of maternal death in the first trimester of early pregnancy. The condition affects around 1 in 80 pregnancies in the UK and occurs when an embryo grows outside of the womb. The EPT believes that the deaths and trauma associated with ectopic pregnancy should be prevented. We seek to relieve the distress associated with the experience and provide ongoing support through their treatment and beyond.
Please support our passionate runners who will be training hard to pound the streets of London raising crucial funds and awareness for ectopic pregnancies.
