My Story

Last January I received the devastating news that my brother Kev had taken his own life. It was a complete shock to all of us which no-one had anticipated or ever expected. I am running to raise funds in support of the Samaritans in his memory as part of the Samaritans Team at the London Marathon next year. I need to raise my target of £2,500 and so this is just the start of a long journey to try and raise those funds.

I'm running to show others there is always hope and to raise money to help Samaritans be here, day and night, for anyone who is struggling to cope. Every pound I raise could help train more volunteers, answer more calls for help and, ultimately, save lives. If my brother had reached out to them I am sure he would still be here today. Unfortunately, he found the struggles in his life too much to bear and could see no other way out.
