My Story

After successfully completing three half marathon’s I’m now thrilled to be competing in my first ever full London Marathon on April 27th 2025, but I’m even more delighted to be running to help raise funds for the wonderful Children of St Mary’s Intensive Care – COSMIC and help them continue the amazing work they do while also supporting the families of the children in their care.

In January 2004 my fiancé Lucie-Jade’s youngest brother Harvey-James was rushed to St. Mary’s hospital in London after falling ill with meningococcal septicaemia, a deadly form of Meningitis, he was just 9 months old at that time.

Thanks to the amazing support of the hospital, and the COSMIC team, Harvey went on to make an almost full recovery and will turn 22 years old this March, but without them his story could have been so very different.

Back in 2004 it was estimated 100 children fell ill per year with the meningococcal septicaemia strain, but also thanks to the research and support of donations like the ones I’m asking for, that statistic has become 0 per year of that variation. !!!

My dedicated training has already begun and we have a number of events arranged, including footy raffle cards and quiz nights to help me hit my target but I’m asking if you can share a small donation to help me along the way as it will be very much appreciated by myself, my family and every one on the COSMIC team.

With the support of Lucie-Jade, Tauren, Lexi, Tiah and Baby Dave  I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead that the streets of London will bring, while at the same time raising some much needed funds as possible for the COSMIC Team.
