My Story

I am honoured to be running for the amazing charity Deafblind UK at the London Marathon in April 2025.

I’m sure like many others in my network, I take my ability to see and hear every day for granted and trying to imagine life without those senses is quite terrifying.

Deafblind UK helps people who are deafblind to live with their condition and to build their confidence and independence. It aims to create a world those with sight and hearing loss are able to live life to the full. They offer comfort, understanding and advice as well as practical support, residential support, care and social opportunities.

I’ve never run a marathon before. With the furthest half marathons, and that was 6 years ago, so this will be a huge challenge, however, nothing compared to what those affected face each day.

My aim is to complete in sub 4 hours. This will involve a rigorous training plan, one I will need to juggle with a young family and work commitments to support this worthy charity.

I appreciate any support given
