My Story

I'm taking part in the TCS London Marathon 2025! 

In 2017, my mother-in-law was diagnosed with stage 5 kidney failure, a moment that changed her life forever. What was first thought to be a minor infection quickly turned into a life-threatening condition, and she was given just two days to live. Thanks to the incredible dedication of the medical staff, she pulled through and began the difficult journey of dialysis. 

On 20th September 2023, her life changed again when a kidney donor match was found. After a successful transplant, she is now enjoying a quality of life we once thought might never be possible again. Her strength and resilience, along with the tireless efforts of her medical team, have been incredibly inspiring.

I’m running the London Marathon 2025 for Kidney Care UK to honour her journey and raise awareness about kidney disease. This cause is personal to me, and I hope that by running, I can help support others going through similar battles. Your support would mean so much—not just to me, but to everyone affected by kidney disease.
