Queen’s Park Community Organisation is grassroots organisation and Registered Charity operating in Bedford.

We are a small, agile organisation that specialises in reaching underrepresented groups, identifying unmet needs and addressing local gaps in provision. We work primarily with households in the most deprived wards in Bedford to address social exclusion due to isolation, poor physical and mental health, lack of knowledge or language skills, and the impact of prejudice and racism on residents. We also relieve poverty, develop capacity and skills of socially and economically disadvantaged people and provide recreation and leisure activities to help people integrate, participate, and improve their life conditions.


As a charity, we have decided to raise funds to help people with the cost-of-living crisis. We often cater for people who are not catered for by other charities due to their circumstances. For example people who:

· have no recourse to public fund.

· have barriers (struggle with English, literacy or both).

· don’t realise they are entitled to help and lack the knowledge, confidence or skills to access it.
