South London Refugee Association

South London Refugee Association

At SLRA we believe that everyone deserves access to justice and the opportunity to build safe, stable lives in the community

Right now, harsh, complex and discriminatory immigration policies are leaving more people without legal status and cut off from basic services. Prohibited from working and unable to access the welfare safety net in a crisis, many face homelessness and destitution. Those seeking advice often can’t find it. The effects of past trauma are compounded by discrimination, isolation and uncertainty about their futures.

For over 30 years, we at SLRA have been standing alongside refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in crisis in South London.

We offer:

  • specialist immigration advice and casework support
  • a safe and welcoming space
  • hot meals, emergency foodbank support & small hardship grants
  • activities that promote wellbeing
  • opportunities to develop community organising skills and lead on campaigns to change the policies and practices that most affect those in the community.

Each year, we support over 1000 people, but none of this would be possible without our supporters!

You can help us today:
